Catalyst 9

Choose ONE of the following quotations to respond to in your catalyst journal.

A. “I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.”

(When responding to this quotation, think about a time where you have had to choose between love and hate.)

B. “True compassion is more than flinging a coin to a beggar. It comes to see that an edifice which produces beggars needs restructuring.”

(What other factors could fit with this quotation besides “beggars”?)

C. “The ultimate test of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and moments of convenience, but where he stands in moments of challenge and moments of controversy.”

(Have you ever been in situations like this? Or know of someone who has? How is that character-defining?)
